The layout principle
RSP’s layout principle ensures orientation and recognition in all media. It is based on fixed design rules that allow flexibility but always maintain brand consistency. Our basic elements form the foundation: typography, logo, color scheme, visual content, additional elements, icons – and in particular the diamond principle as the supporting design element.
The diamond principle
The so-called diamond principle is the central visual foundation of the RSP corporate design. It is derived directly from the function of our products – non-destructive material transport by means of air flow – and is reflected in all design elements.
Features:
Shape: Discharge from the logo – orange air flow inside a suction nozzle
Angle: 31° – characterizes numerous design elements (surfaces, images, headlines)
Symbolism: Suction and blowing, represented by the double-pointed arrow in the logo
Application:
The principle is used on a modular basis – from posters and brochures to social media.
Example visuals: brochure title, double-page spreads, social media posts
→ Use slide 20 ff. from presentation
The basic design elements
Element | Description |
Typography | Proxima Nova RSP is the corporate typeface and ensures clarity and a technical profile. |
Color world | RSP orange as the dominant accent, supported by neutral and emotional accent colors. |
Logo | Use according to logo guidelines - always with free space and correct placement. |
Visual content | Visual language in a technical context - factual, high-quality, dynamic. |
Additional elements | Icons, arrows, lines, buttons - mostly designed at an angle of 31°. |
Graphics and tables | Standardized forms of presentation are used to visualize complex content. Colors, lines and typography follow clear rules and support intuitive information absorption. |
Icons | RSP icons are functional orientation elements in a uniform style. They are based on basic geometric shapes and reflect the clarity and modularity of the corporate design. |
Grid and modularity (pending)
The layout is based on a flexible 12-column grid (in print) or on modular container grids (digital), which enables clear spacing, clean white spaces and a structured page architecture.
Rules:
Even column spacing
Sufficient white space around text and image elements
Design elements along 31° axes
Modules can be built up mirrored or diagonally (see diamond principle)
Examples: Grid graphic, brochure grid, social media grid
Application examples (pending)
Brochure title with diagonal color area and image overlay
Flyer double pages with dynamic text-image compositions
