House connections are often associated with traffic obstructions and costly surface repair work. That doesn&#8217;t have to be the case! With keyhole technology, gas, water and FTTH house connections are laid from the main pipe in the street to the house &#8211; from a borehole just 650 mm in diameter. After opening up the road surface, a suction excavator gently sucks the keyhole clear to the main line. The drilling rig is operated and all the work required to lay the pipeline is carried out from the surface.     <\/p><p>The advantages of the keyhole method are obvious. Freshly laid road surfaces are not torn up. The circular hole has no effect on the tension and load-bearing capacity of the soil and road surface. Only minimal civil engineering work is required. This avoids subsequent costs due to surface damage. After completion of the work, the core is reinstated with special mortar without any further asphalting costs.
