The ballast needs its edges and the spaces between them in order to fulfill its function properly. At some point, the old dull ballast must be replaced with new sharp-edged ballast.  <\/p><p>The excavation of the ballast between the sleepers can usually only be carried out manually due to the limited space available. The suction excavator is the fast alternative to expensive manual work. Thanks to its powerful air flow, the ballast is sucked out quickly and effortlessly, even in the tightest spaces.
