What is the Investment Booster 2025?

The German government promotes investment in modern technology through:

  • A new declining balance method of depreciation at 30% of the residual carrying amount per year
  • Valid for movable assets such as suction excavators, vacuum vehicles and accessories
  • Valid for investments from 01.07.2025 until 31.12.2027
  • For all companies with a tax liability in Germany

All movable machinery that you purchase and account for in Germany, e.g:

Residual book value: € 600,000

Depreciation (30%): € 180,000

Total after year: € 180,000

2026

Residual book value: € 420,000

Depreciation (30%): € 126,000

With standard depreciation over 8 years, only € 225,000 is claimed after 3 years. This means that you can claim over € 169,200 more in tax via the investment boost in the calculation example !
